My thoughts and prayers are with the family, Danny III, Tanya, Inez and Brother Mario and Family.

I met Dan a number of decades ago in the seventies, while at Delta College. Without Mr. Soza's Help, I would not have become the clinical psychologist, I am today. He always said not only do you need to become a psychologist, but you need to become an "exceptional one," because he was exceptional, and he was there when I needed him. He helped me and encouraged me to move forward and achieve my dreams. Soon after, we became good friends.

Mr. Dan Soza was exceptional at all levels, intellectually, psychologically, spiritually and politically. He had the gift of dealing with difficult situations when others had given up, and he would do it methodically.

Mr. Dan Soza, I will miss you my fellow vegan, my mentor and my good friend.

I worked with Daniel while he was on City Council. Daniel was very personable and an easy and pleasant person to work with. He would always bring me back small gifts when he went to Zapopan, Mexico. He will be surely missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

Danny and I were classmates at St. Joseph High School in Saginaw from 1962-63. Danny was the smartest and brightest in our Algebra 1 class. I haven't seen Danny since 9th grade and am not surprised that he ended up a math teacher. Danny and I would walk home every day for lunch and every day he would laugh at me because I had some wine for lunch and before going back to school. My grandparents lived next to the railroad tracks on sixth street. Condolences to both Soza and Guzman families. I will keep Danny in my nightly prayers forever.
