Danielle R. Nicholson

Danielle R. Nicholson East Lansing Age 22, was born September 9, 1988. She was a child of God's love, beloved mother of Audrey and Arianna, daughter of Penny and Rudy. Danielle was taken from this world on February 2, 2011. She was a cheerful, hard working Patient Care Technician at Sparrow Hospital. Ms. Nicholson graduated from Everett High School in 2006 and had just started her second semester at Owosso's Baker College. She was studying toward a degree in Nursing. She was a persistent student, as well as a faithful mother, daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, niece, and a caring friend. Danielle was known by her smile, her laugh, her good nature and her eagerness to engage in open human warmth. She sought to harm no one and forgave everyone with whom she had a conflict. She cared deeply for all her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Ms. Nicholson was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Kathy Nicholson and cousin, Lindburgh C. Nason, III. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Audrey and Arianna; mother, Penny Nicholson; father, Rudy Griffen; brother, Frank (Tammy) Nicholson; sister, Eureka Nicholson; nephew, Julian; grandfather, Loren Nicholson; grandmother, Hattie Griffen; aunts, Pam Nicholson, Debra (Gary) Moore, Diane (Ron) Holley; cousins, Corey (Ruby), Frye Nicholson, and Crystal Lundy; special family friend, Nick Stallworth; and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Ms. Nicholson Monday, February 7, from 12-5p.m. at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 1:30 p.m. at the Riley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund at Lake Trust Credit Union for Ms. Nicholson's daughters, Audrey and Arianna. Contributions should be made to the fund by check to: Diane Holley, with a note in the memo indicating "Danielle Nicholson Memorial Fund."
