Gene Sellers Obituary
Lansing - Mervin "Gene" Sellers was born January 5th, 1935, to the late Mervin E. Sellers and Hazel A. (Goodenough) Sellers. He retired from Oldsmobile after 42 years of service at General Motors. Gene is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Sarah (Musson) Sellers; 3 children, Gary G. Sellers, LuAnn Gibbs (John), and Steven M. Sellers (Tracy), 6 grandsons, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Edith Kohl, sister-in-law, Nancy Sellers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so. A full obituary is at www.palmerbush.com

Mrs. Sellers, Gary, LuAnn and Steven. What a great photo of your husband and father ! That is how I remember Gene. His big smile and laughter. As you are very aware Gene drove semi in our Over the Road Private Fleet Dept. ( Oldsmobile Transportation ). I worked with him during the early 1990's, when I was the day shift dispatcher. There were no hidden agendas with Gene, just a honest hard working man. I remember him coming in one morning very upset . someone had taken his pickup from the your driveway overnight. Note: My wife's grand mother Iva Ruthruff lived on Peoples Road in Edmore. Gene came in one morning to ask if either Gary or Steven ( I do not remember which son at this time ) could speak with Iva about the Seller's family tree. Grandma was thrilled to help. She was born in 1900 and was sharp as a tack. 'God Bless Your Family'

Gene always had a kind word and a great story to share. Always willing to help out a friend or share a piece of advice. Unlimited fishing and hunting stories. A man who truly loved his family. He will be truly be missed.
