Gerald R. "Jerry" Kushner Pewamo Gerald R. "Jerry" Kushner, aged 71, of Pewamo, formerly of Dearborn, passed away September 9, 2008. He was born December 31, 1936 in Detroit the son of Michael and Marie (Zonca) Kushner. He married Virginia Johnson December 29, 1967. Jerry attended Fordson High School in Dearborn. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Virginia of Pewamo; sons, David Kushner of Okemos, Dan and Sakah Kushner of Grand Rapids; daughters, Alyse and Michael Sandborn of East Lansing, Leanne and Jeff Anderson of Atlanta, GA; brother, Michael Kushner of North Hollywood, CA; sister, Lenore Krol of Detroit; and 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Lara and Elin Sandborn, Matthew Kushner and Ava Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pewamo with Father Charlon Mason, celebrant. Visitation will be at St. Mary's Chapel in Westphalia on Friday from 7-9 p.m. where there will be a scriptural wake service at 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Muir.
