Jack J. Piggott

Jack J. Piggott Lansing Age 88, passed away January 6, 2013. Born December 10, 1924 in Lansing, MI. Jack served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years during WW II. He owned and operated for 6 years an auto body and paint shop. Later he was the owner and operator for 15 years of a commercial heating and air-conditioning sheet metal company in Eaton Rapids. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post #6132. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Veronica Piggott; three children, Joan Marie (Bill) Goerge, Charles Joseph (Lou Ann) Piggott, and James William Piggott; three grandchildren, Scott Rathbun, Jessica Rathbun, and Charles Joseph Piggott, III; Two great-grandchildren, Samantha Rae and Morgan Ashley Rathbun; brother, Clement "Clem" (Pat) Piggott, and many other family members and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph and Mary G. (Bauer) Piggott; and sister, Kathleen Thelen. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 11, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 West Miller Rd. Lansing with Fr. Fred Thelen presiding. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday at church. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids, MI. Military Honors will be provided.
