Jessie V. Adams

Jessie V. Adams, "Poor Jess", 75 Sunrise April 17, 1939, Sunset at August 16, 2014. Born in Brookhaven Mississippi to Rosetta Jackson and  Harvey Adams. 

He was retired from General Motors 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Rosetta Jackson and Harvey Adams, 5 brothers, daughter Jessica Adams and grandson Derrick Adams. 

Poor Jess enjoyed fishing, riding his boat, spending time barbecuing with this family and friends, playing with his grandkids and great grandkids and working in his yard. 

He is survived by his loving wife Jessie Adams of 50 years, 1 daughter Valerie (Vincent) Black, 2 sons Marcus (Patricia) Adams, Derrick (Cassandra) Adams, 1 brother Grandberry (Margee) Adams, 2 sisters in law Odell (Lonnie) Mckissic, Mattie (Frank) Lilly, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 special friends Johnella Ramsey and Hattie McNulty, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Solid Rock Baptist Church, with family hour at 10:30.
