John Bullard Obituary

John T. Bullard

Lansing

John T. Bullard, 72, retired plumber from the State of Michigan, Northville State Hospital, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2016, after a brief bout with cancer. He was born in Salinas, CA on February 13, 1944 to John W. and LeeVern Bullard.

John lived a wonderful life. He played as hard as he worked. As a young newlywed he served four years in the Navy, Seabee construction battalion. After his daughters where born he loved to take them camping all over Michigan in Big Blue. Later his all-time favorite thing to do was spend time with his granddaughters in Michigan and Florida. He was a Dad and Grandfather, and brother to many others. John loved to hunt and was an avid gunman. John always loved rock and roll and made the transition to Blues in his later years, and made many friends on Blues Cruises. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was a wonderful human being.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Margaret, his daughters Janice (Lansing), and Patricia (Florida), his granddaughters Blaise Bianca (Lansing), and Dakota Rain Kruse (Lansing), his sisters May Louise Higgins (Eddie), Betty Zimmerman (Jerry), Wilhelmina Broddus, Delores Campbell (Michael), Brenda Dilday, his brother William Moore (Sue). His sisters-in-law Pamela Lutz (Michael), Evelynn Maki, Laura Kohn. His brothers-in-law James Huff (Kathy), Don Huff (Thera), and Terry Huff (Cheryl). There are many, many nieces and nephews and a whole host of longtime friends, and buddies. We will all miss him terribly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Sharon Wasson (Ward).

A Celebration of John's life will occur on Saturday, June 25th, 2016 beginning at 1:00 pm at the family home. In lieu of flowers please bring a dish to pass and your memories to share. If you cannot be here, contribute to a cancer or veterans cause.
