John Crisler Obituary
East Lansing, MI - Our beloved son, brother, and fiancé, John K. Crisler, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the age of 60.
John was born in Lansing, Michigan, on March 19, 1958. He graduated in 1976 from Holt High School, where he played football and baseball, and won multiple prestigious science awards. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
In 2001, John earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University and went on to become president, founder and CEO of Superior Age Management, AllThingsMale Center for Men's Health in Lansing.
He was a pioneer in developing cutting-edge men's health therapies, treating 'his guys' with compassion and the most comprehensive care.
Keeping fit and healthy was his passion. He enjoyed travel, time spent with friends and family, and watching MSU and professional sports. John was soft-spoken and kind-hearted, with a dynamic personality. He blessed and was blessed by his many close friends.
We will all miss your infectious smile and sense of humor, and that twinkle in your eye.
John is survived by his parents, Keith and Mary Crisler of Holt; his sisters, Peggy (Louis) Crisler-Smith of Thurmont, Maryland, and Lynda (John) Simpson of Mason; nieces and nephews: and his fiancé, Arline Wood of Fenton. He was preceded in death by his sidekick, his Chihuahua Tox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Holt Chapel, 5035 W. Holt Road in Holt, with Chaplain Lyle Heaton officiating. Visitations will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 22, and one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in John's name to American Heart Association, Capital Area Humane Society, or a charity of choice. Please visit the Palmer Bush & Jensen website at www.palmerbush.com to place online condolences or sign the online guest book.

I reflect on the impact of Dr. John Crisler's life though gone too soon he made a impact in the Interventional Edocrinolgy amd men's hormone optimization space. I would listen to hiS wealth of knowledge on the Jay Campbell Doctor Roundtable podcast and was astounded by his insight and knowledge. A tip of the spear innovator and sad that he passed. Still remembering loved ones that dearly miss him.

Dr. Crisler treated me while he was with Defy Medical. I bought his book, read it, and I gave it to my primary doctor(also a DO)who learned much from it and was treating other patients as well. In essence, he has touched the lives of many others that he didn't even know. RIP.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. My prayers go out to family and those he left behind. John and I were never close friends but in recent years we had become facebook friends. I got to know a little bit about him from our conversations and his posts. John was one that didn't lock himself into any one group at school, instead he would talk to anyone and willingly engage in intelligent conversation. My one regret with John is I never reached out to him in our after school years. We had atleast one thing in common. Our lifelong quest for physical fitness. God bless.

Our paths crossed so many times over the years and it was always the same, like we had seen each other yesterday. John knew how to make every one feel like they were extra special to him. Sorry to hear about John. I miss seeing him after we moved from Holt. I remember chasing him out of the house when he was a kid because of his teasing. He was a great kid. He use to come and visit me and mom off and on. He like mom's home made doughnuts and cinnamon rolls. I remember him saying that when he was walking home from school he always know when mom was making them he could smell them as soon as he walked out of school. So he'd hurry home to stop by to get some. Mom would always have some setting out for him. He will be missed.

John and I worked together at the Stardust Nite Club back in the 70's and remained friends ever since. We shared many laughs together through the years, and yes maybe a tear or two as well. I have too many memories to share, but will always remember his craft beers, his large cigars and his larger heart. He was a good friend, a great guy and he will be missed. So very sorry for your loss. Krystal and I were neighbors of John when he lived on Malibu with Ike. We would take care of Ike when John had to be out of town.
