I am so sad to read this. John and I were in Kindergarten together and I made my brother so mad because I insisted on walking John home and he lived the opposite direction. My family moved away and I lost track of him until my Mother-in-law suggested he do my wedding flowers and cake. What a surprise and delight to get acquainted. I wish I had stayed in touch. He was a delightful man to work with and so giving. He will be missed. May God ease the families sorrow.

John was a very good friend of my husbands family, that is how I met him. He did the flowers for my wedding. He was a wonderful person. I enjoyed his company.

I only knew John for a short period of time, he was a well respected man and a good listener and friend. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P. John.

John and my sister, Linda, were close friends while they were at Eastern. The high school bunch consisted of John, Linda, Peggy, Joel and myself. All are now gone. Susie and Herbert were like a 2nd set of parents to us all. John was a great guy and a good friend.

I have known John since we lived next door on Bingham St. He did my wedding flowers and cake in February 1968. The memories are many. My mother, Doreen, worked with John on flowers, cakes, wedding dresses and shopped with him for supplies in New York City. On a recent visit with him at The Pines, he was still making floral arrangements and wreaths even there, not to mention all the beautiful porcelain dolls. He was a kind and very talented friend. He will be greatly missed.

John lived on Bingham Street just across Prospect from where I lived. He was a very loving and kind person and talented, I must add. He made the flowers and cake for my wedding back in January 11, 1964. He did this from his home and they were beautiful. Thank you, John.

I'm adding this for Harold Soper who said "I spent time with John going to places where he purchased flowers for floral arangements that he made to sell. While with him I discovered that he was a good, kind, man who was always willing to help others". For this John will be surely missed.

I knew John Line through my Father in Law, Harold Soper (who was his friend), and also from Christ Lutheran Church. John was not only a good man ,but also very talented in making floral creations. He will be missed by many people.
