Karen G. Hedden

Lansing - Karen G. Hedden, 63, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021. She was born June 7, 1957 in Lansing to John and Mary (Thelen) Hedden. She was a longtime CATA bus driver whose passion for civil service made her an excellent driver. Karen found great comfort in her Catholic faith throughout her life, faithfully serving at Mother Teresa House and at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lansing for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Margaret Hedden; Catherine (George Krisztian) Hedden, Aileen (Jerry Burke) Hedden, and Heidi (Thomas) Beavers; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hedden, Aaron Beavers, Lexy Krisztian, and Zachary Beavers; and great-nephews, Tyler and Jacob Hedden.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2021 at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave. in Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass, as well as on Sunday, May 1, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave. in Lansing from 3pm until 5pm when a Rosary will be prayed in Karen's honor.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mother Teresa House, 308 N Walnut St, Lansing, MI 48933, where Karen has served so faithfully.
