Karl Haug Obituary
Lansing - Karl Haug passed away July 15, 2021 in Lansing. He was born in Kalamazoo, October 28, 1942, the son of Ewald and Margaret (Buck) Haug. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Karl married Beverly Wiessner in 1965, and was drafted by the US Army the following year. After his discharge from the Army, he began working for the Social Security Disability Determination Service in Lansing. After working for 27 years, he retired and was able to spend more time with his sports car hobby, doing driving instruction on road racing courses with Porsche clubs, BMW clubs and others. He was preceded in death by his parents. Karl is survived by his wife, his sister Jane Schelb, nieces, nephews and in-laws. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Karl's Life will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2:00PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beverly and Karl Haug Nursing Scholarship fund, c/o Lansing Community College Foundation, 309 N. Washington Square, Suite 201, Lansing, MI, 48933, or to the charity of one's choice. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com.

I remember Karl for being a quiet but friendly person. I didn't know him well but did know him from working at DDS. A life taken too soon. My condolences to his family. RIP Karl, you will be missed. We need more people like him.
