Dear Marlene, Foster, Lori and Jan:
Our deepest sympathy is extended to all of you. You have and will continue to be in our daily prayers asking God to watch over you and help you with your sorrow.
Kent was a very special young man who evidently had a soft spot in his heart for the homeless as he had an interest in the Muskegon Rescue Center. We're so sorry we had not seen him in a long time but it does not keep us from grieving.
May you all feel God's strength as He is with you.
With deepest sympathy, Hal and Boots
Halstead
P. S. We appreciated your call Friday evening, Marlene.

My condolences to Marlene and Foster, Lori and Jan. I have many fond memories of my years with Kent, our travels, boating, the foster care business, the Houghton Lake cottage, Sunday drives in the red corvette, dancing at the Kirby Grill, listening to Saturday Night Blues. He had a kindness for old folks. He loved his cat, Moses. I was amazed at what he could build and fix. He was passionate about his opinions and loved debating politics. He spent hours perfecting his letters to the editor of the Muskegon Chronicle. He was health conscious; he was thrifty, he was sensitive, and gentle. He remained my friend until the end. He will be missed by many.- Karel (Bly) Schram

Ken was very speical friend ,who always help his friends. We both completed the same enginering program at MSU. We kept in contact over the years and ken had the same enjoyment for boating as I did, He always wanted to follow my parents life style of sailing the islands of the Bahamas. Ken spent many hours working on my 40 ft. offshore on lake st.clair . Also spent many hours enjoying boats on lake st.clair. I lost more than a special friend and always told ken ,I love you man. great person.

My thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends back there in Michigan. He was my best friend for our high school years. I always admired his creativity and skills. I had the pleasure of his visits to Washington state three times, and have missed him over the last decade. Farewell till we met again buddy. Bob Nielsen, Stehekin Washington
