Rebecca,
I just tonight learned of your loss. I only met Kermit a few times when we were doing property inspections but the love you two had was obvious and inspiring. May the the years of joy you had together help you find peace at this time.
Sincerely,
Julie Caesar

I was lucky to work with Kermit at Sparrow. I always knew I would have a good day if he was scheduled with me. He was such a wise man but with a wicked sense of humor. Much too young but God has a purpose. Prayers to your family.

Rebecca,
We just learned of Kermits passing. Our hearts are mourning as we remember Kermits vibrant warm personality and the joy of being with him on at RTC trips to Nicaragua, golf league, dinners, and events. What a blessing he was. God be with you dear.

I'm so saddened to hear about the passing of Kermit- sending prayers of peace and comfort to his family. I worked with him at Sparrow. I'll never forget his sense of humor, excellent nursing skills and special rapport with patients- especially children. He really helped put them at ease- they all remembered Kermit! He will be greatly missed...

I remember how very caring Kermit was when I was having infusions at The Beals Institute. Kermit loved his family dearly and when he would chat with me, he always smiled whenever talking about his wife, a loving twinkle in his eyes. I enjoyed his fellowship as a brother in Christ and had the utmost trust of him as my Healthcare Provider. I am both saddened by his passing and happy that he is home. This earth is not our home, even with all the good Kermit did in a lifetime well lived. Thank you for sharing Kermit with all of us.

I first knew Kermit as my best friends big brother - always teasing, joking and being a nut; I later knew him in his nursing capacity - first when my son was having hernia surgery - he made us comfortable with the procedure and put a smile on my sons face when he was most scared - and later yet when I myself had surgery and was coming to in the post op - his was the first kind face I saw and his words were most comforting - I knew he would be looking out for me. He cared for everyone big and small, gave them comfort, reassurance and joy at the times they most needed it and more often at times just because. My heart goes out to his wife, Rebecca, his children and his sisters at this time of great loss.

I met Kermit through the Beals Institute. During my infusions we would have great conversations on travel, family and politics. Kermit was always so kind and professional. I always looked forward to seeing him. My prayers are with the family during this time. Thank you Kermit for all that you have done for so many people throughout your life.

Kermit combined expert and compassionate care as he administered infusion treatments for my mother. He never failed to brighten her day and recommend a treat for her as we left each appointment. My mom passed away in April. She often asked me about Kermit. I imagine they are sharing ice cream together in heaven now. RIP Kermit. I know you will be greatly missed. Sending prayers for those who loved you during this difficult time.

My sympathies to Kermit's family. He was truly a one-of-a-kind individual who left an indelible impression. We were in the same nursing class at Mineral Area College. While I lost touch with him over the years, I remember his smile and ability to make everyone laugh. He private tutored many of us through the difficulties of homework and helped us stay focused with his class antics. RIP my friend.

I first met Kermit when I began playing in our church golf league and he went out of his way to make me feel welcome. He began writing postcards to our son when he was four and diagnosed with cancer. Five years later, those postcards were still coming about every month, not just to one son but both of them. They were always filled to the bottom with small talk, jokes, and jabs at our Cubs with Cardinal stickers on the bottom. We are so grateful for the time he took to be consistently and quietly kind.

Kermit was more than the person I would see every month to administer my meds...he was my friend. He always made me smile. Thank you Kermit, I am glad to have known you! To Kermit's Family - I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

A cigar in one hand, and a golf club in the other----let's play 18! We covered a lot of territory , over the years, playing the links in different states. Would have liked to experience more. As for Kerm the man, he is a shining example that a sense of humor and being pleasant can do wonders in this day and age. My brother-in-law turned brother will be missed by many. Prayers go out to all who mourn him and for his memory.

I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. Kermit was SUCH a big help to me when I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease and required infusions. We spent lots of time together in that little room and he was very informative and kind to myself and my family during a very confusing and scary time in my life. I was always interested in his stories of travel, and I heard many wonderful things about his wife and children, it was very evident how much he loved you all. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I too worked at Sparrow as an RN, but first met Kermit when I had out-patient surgery ... he had on his Detroit Lion surgical cap. I told him as an avid Packer fan I was a little nervous about him being my circulating nurse! We met again at the MSU BSN retreat a couple weeks ago and I reminded him of our first meeting ... he proudly showed me his Lion tattoo and said he hoped to have Lion football players be his pall bearers when he passed away! Now it seems like such a surreal conversation :( My thoughts are with his family.

I am so saddened to hear of Kermit's passing. He was one of my clinical faculty at MSU and I was tickled that he was returning to teach this semester. He had such presence and it was impossible not to smile when he was around. A little more than a week ago, he attended our spring retreat and introduced himself as James Bond and immediately brightened the room. Keeping his loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. He's already missed.
