MARK WAS MY "OTHER SON". DAVID AND MARK WERE LIKE BROTHERS FROM LONG, LONG AGO. DAVID VISITED MARK IN MICHIGAN, MARK VISITED DAVID IN GA. MARK WAS A VERY STRONG YOUNG MAN AND HE ALSO HAD A "HEART OF GOLD". THEY WERE ROOMATES FOR A LONG TIME. DAVID TOOK MARK TO OHIO TO MEET ALL HIS RELATIVES AND THEY LOVED HIM. DAVID WENT TO MICHIGAN AND MET ALL OF MARK'S FOLKS...
I MISS YOU SO MUCH AS MY OTHER SON, AND AFTER DAVID PASSED AWAY, MARK AND I STILL TOLD STORIES AND SHARED MEMORIES OF THE TWO BOYS TOGETHER...I'M SURE THEY ARE TOGETHER NOW. MAY GOD TAKE CARE OF YOU BOTH AND KEEP YOUR FAMILIES SAFE....RAMONA, DAVID'S MOM...

Reading of Mark's passage has hit me hard. For many years I have looked back to our HS era--the early/mid 1980s--and thought of him often as the all-American, ebullient, soccer-ball-kicking, East Lansing Marching Band-banging percussionist, best-example-of-our-times. I did not know him well, if at all, but after all of these years I still think of him often & he definitely made a positive impression upon me. For those of you fortunate enough to have known him well, and to have kept in touch with him, I believe you to be truly blessed.

I am Margie Babcock's mother and 2nd mom/friend of Brenda Liechty Rubenstein. I have felt their pain over losing Mark and it is always sad to see someone so young leave this world. I do know that he brought great happiness to Brenda and his last days were with people he loved and people who loved him. My sincere condolences to his family. May your memories be bright and happy and your love strong.

Mark,
I love you more than I have loved any man in my life. And I know that you loved me. As you always told me, I wish that we had reconnected years ago. I loved talking with you, and laughing with you, and kissing you. We were great together. I will love you always.

To the Walker Family,
Thank you for accepting me into your family. I love you guys and I'm so so sorry that Mark is gone. He was the most wonderful man.

Love,
Brenda
