Dear Phyllis and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We are also sorry for our loss. I thank God today that HE brought Jack into our lives by the way of the Coffee Shop.
The words today at the funeral were so fitting for the kind of man we learned to love. He spoke of his family often, you could tell where his heart was.
I have never met a more gentle, sweet man. If the subject of dying came up, he would put on his best "Jack" smile and say " I'm ready".
Thank You for sharing your loved one with us. He will be remembered with love. Linda Merryfield
P.S. F.Y.I. The subject of sweets was mentioned at the funeral. If you go into the Sunfield Coffee Co. and ask for a bowl of ice cream, soup, or....especially orange sherbet... You will be asked what size you want? Large, Small or.....Jack sized. (about the size of a ramikin}

Phyllis, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jack was one of the good guys. He always had time to stop and talk and always asked how the boys were doing. Spartans, Vikings and the Dow's will miss him.

May God be extra close to you and your family Phyllis. I have many fond memories growing up around Jack, both at church and also many baseball games and Sunfield events. Jack also had a warm smile and handshake every time I saw him. He will be missed, but God now has a new greeter/usher in heaven just waiting for the rest of us. Many thoughts & prayers, Sue Insco (Mast)
