Reginald Shepard Obituary
Reg was enjoying Christmas when he suffered a major stroke on the 23rd, then passed away peacefully on the 26th. Since the passing of his wife, Joyce Shepard, in September 2014, he was living well at the residence of his loving caregiver, Mikki Moffit, in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father Walter Shepard and mother Dorothy Shepard. Reg is survived by beloved sister Betty Wingett; brother Jim Shepard; sisters-in-law Judy Murray and Donna Shepard; sons Randy (Jamie), Rod (Theresa) and Ron (Mary) Shepard; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reg was born in Arkansas and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. He graduated from Lake Orion High in 1949, and married Joyce Shepard on October 21, 1950. His family lived in Lake Orion until moving to Oxford in 1965, then to Dewitt in 1969. Reg was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. After his retirement from GM in 1991, they traveled across America, spending many summers in Caseville and winters in Ft Myers, Florida.
The date and place of a memorial service and reception will be announced later.
