Her smile says it all. She was a kind woman and a passionate teacher. If the life of a teacher is judged by counting the lives they touched, I am confident that she lived life to the fullest.

I am so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. I was part of the Hope Middle School staff during the "early years" and so enjoyed her sense of humor - and loved her laugh. Sincere sympathy to her family and those that love her dearly.

Sandy was the most generous person I've known; generous with her time, her terrific artistic talent, and her love of laughter. She made every day at Hope Middle School special. May we all live up to her legacy.

To Art, Charlotte, Sarah and grand kids .........my deepest condolences to each of you, please always know how much Sandy loved each of you, you were her world. I am so grateful she got to take part in Brianna's senior picture event. It was all she could talk about when I saw her two weeks ago......all the outfit and venue changes......she had a ball! You are each richer because you had her in your lives. I too am richer because of the 20 years of friendship we shared. My love to you all. Char Kendregan

Dear Art and Family,

The years I spent with Sandy and the gang, as part of Unit 61 at Hope Middle School, will always be remembered as some of the best ever. Whether hanging out in the unit "office", having a Unit meeting in the "Queens'" room, dressing up for Spirit Week, or making a special "book" for someone, it was always a time filled with laughter and joy thanks to Sandy. I'll never look at a flamingo without thinking of her generous caring nature. Thank you Sandy. You are missed!!!

A wonderful person has passed from this world to the next. Sandy had my daughter in the 6th grade and made a big difference in her life. She grew into a confident young lady under her guidance and now has 60 people employed under her direction. Take all she gave to you and make the most of it. Mary Golbeck
