Shirley Blankenship Obituary

Shirley Anne Blankenship Lansing Shirley Anne Blankenship, age 88, went to be with our Lord on January 17, 2012. She was born March 13, 1923 to Leonard and Cecille Stephens in Lakeview, MI. Shirley graduated from Lansing Sexton High School June 23, 1943. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold; son, Kenneth W. (Patricia) of Rutherfordton, NC; 2 grandchildren, Kristin and Kyle of Linden, NC; 2 great-grandchildren, Adam and Jordan also of Linden, NC; 2 sisters, Donna Harder (Bill) of Lansing, and Barbara Smith of Mason. She enjoyed camping, crafts and golfing. She was a member of the Delta Mills United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012, at the Delta Mills United Methodist Church, 6809 Delta River Drive, Lansing with Rev. Brian Blankenship officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Lakes Hospice in Shirley's memory. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home. Harold, Sorry to hear that Shirley is no longer with you. You had a long and happy life together. Hope your good memories of her will help you though this time of grief. I also have many good memories of her and she will be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Shelby Jordan
