Thomas Miller Obituary
Charlotte
Passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 29, 2014 at the age of 53. Tom was born on September 25, 1961 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Charles and JoAnn (Burr) Miller. Tom attended Waverly High School Class of '79 where he loved playing football and was a lifelong resident of the Lansing area. He was a Foreman for Union 669 Sprinkler Fitters. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and his spontaneous get on and go Harley trips with his wife Lorie. Tom was a loving and devoted father who actively supported his children in all they did including Cub Scouts and coaching their sporting teams. Tom will be remembered for his musical skills, his jokester sense of humor, and infectious laugh. He was a friend to all he met and always made people smile.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Richard Hartman.
He is survived by the love of his life for 34 years Lorie Miller, his children, Angela (Steven) Wilkes-Dunn, Cindy (Mark) Cochran, and Tommy (Kasey) Miller, 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers Matt (Pat) and Mark (Lynn) Miller; 2 sisters, Cindy Hartman and Becky (Jeff) Hager, along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be made at www.palmerbush.com.

It crazy that it's been ten years already,
You still come to mind when I'm in the woods , fishing, especially when I'm talking with lin.
I still remember the day I meet you. That was forever a go. The laughter was always frequent when you were around, I miss that most .

Tommy was my favorite cousin. He lived with us, mom, dad,and I when he was a baby. He was very easy to love.
I'm very sad it took 10 years to find out.

My favorite, crazy. silly grandpa. Words can't explain how much I miss you. You taught us many things, you loved all your grandkids unconditionally, and shared many memories with us that made us all giggle until our stomachs hurt. You meant so much to me, but this isn't the end. I will see you again, and I will never stop loving you. I can't wait to see you again, and have you make me laugh again with your goofy "grill" or your fake teeth you put in. My Dearest Dad and Best Friend, I love you! Although you aren't in physical presence every day I will talk to you and embrace our memories. Its hard to say goodbye to to such a good friend you've had for so long. He's been like a father since I met him 40yrs ago. In his driveway doing body work on that old 55 Chevy.
He's fixed on my bicycles and my cars and taken me hunting all them years ago.
I hadn't seen him in yrs till this last summer he had not changed a bit still the same old Tom.

When cousin Tommy was 4 years old, I was living in Grand Rapids and going to college. Every Thursday, his parents (Tom's father was my father's first cousin)went to choir practice at their church, and I got to babysit for Tommy, and Cindy, Matt, and Mark. What fun we had! Of course you know, Tommy was the little rascal that we all knew & loved!! My family lived 200 miles away so I was very happy to be part of Miller household every Thursday.
Cindy & Becky, Matt & Mark...I am so sad that your wonderful brother has left this earth but so happy that he is with your parents (and Jesus) in Heaven now. I'm sorry that I don't know Tom's wife and children, but my sympathies go out to them as well. Husbands/Dads/Brothers are such special guys!
