Trinidad "Trina" Huerta Villegas, our beloved mother was an Angel. The heavens are rejoicing and celebrating her arrival back home.

Trinidad Huerta Villegas was born on November 7, 1920 to the late Bernabe and Leonarda (Guillen) Huerta, passed away at home on Friday, May 12, 2017. Mother was 96 years old.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan G. Villegas; son, Juan (Johnny) Villegas, Jr., three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughters; Sara DeLaGarza, Mary DeLaGarza, Pearl Hernandez, Patsy Villegas, Vickey Villegas, and June Villegas, sons; Paul (Sharon) Villegas, and Carlos (Deborah) Villegas. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 57 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation for Trina from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing, Michigan. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery 2520 W. Willow St. Lansing, Michigan.

You were so blessed to have a warm, loving and friendly mother. I also will feel the lost. I loved your mom. She made me feel loved. She was a kind sweet soul.

We will miss her but Heaven rejoices. No more pain or sorrow. The angel has taken her flight!!!
She was so blessed to have a loving caring family to surround and take care of her .

Oh,please dont feel guilty it was just my time to go. I see you are still feeling sad, the tears just seem to flow.we all come to earth for our lifetime, for some its not many years l dont want you to keep crying you are shedding so many tears. I havent really left you even though it may seem so.l have just gone to my heavenly home,lm closer to you than you know. Just believe that when you say my name,lm standing next to you, l know you long to see me, but there's nothing l can do. But l'll still send you messages , hope you understand, that when your time comes to "cross over " , I'll be there to take your hand.

At the age of 96, my mom Trinidad Trina/Trini Huerta Villegas, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2017, just before noon while listening to the King Elvis Presley's ultimate gospel hymns. Mom enjoyed many things in this life: telling a good joke or funny story created an infectious laughter; her gardens and Texas spring flowers, she could make anything grow; a great tasting dish, her black-eyed peas on New Year's Day were the best; her love of birds, a good dance tune; singing; best of all her family and siblings. I love and miss you Mom!
