On the tennis court where I had the pleasure playing with Bill I found him to be a top-notch competitor with a no-nonsense spirit of fair play. He was likable and a good sport, quick to credit his opponent as well as partner for a good shot. At the time of his passing I could not pay my respect s due to being in Florida. Still regret that and miss not only his playing but also his style of friendliness. Dick Lehman

What a great guy. The last time I saw him he was entertaining my great grandson at Rod's visitation at Peters & Murray July 4 2011. He will be greatly missed I know. June Winstanley

Bill was a rock-solid, first-class guy; personable and like able. On the tennis court, he was always a good sport who played tough. He will missed but not forgotten.
