Barry Comiskey Obituary

Lubbock- Barry Leo Comiskey passed away on April 29, 2018. A memorial service celebrating his life of over 62 years will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Lakeridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A tribute of Barry's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.

Barry was born on October 15, 1955 to Robert (Bob) and Edytha (Scotty) Comiskey. Barry grew up on Yeso Drive and graduated from Hobbs High School and Eastern New Mexico University, where he obtained both a BA and MBA in business administration. On June 18, 1983 Barry married the love of his life, Alice Ann Keller, in their hometown of Hobbs, New Mexico. Barry was active in commercial real estate development and property management for over 35 years, with the final 25 years of that being focused in Lubbock. He worked for WestMark Realtors, McDougal Properties, and was a partner at Westar Commercial Realty. Barry was a devoted husband and father, never missing a single football game of Cody's from age 8 to 18.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Scotty; older brother James (Jim); and his loving wife of over 30 years Alice Comiskey.

Barry is survived by his son, Cody and his wife, Morgan of Houston, Texas; sister, Melissa Woods and her husband, Dr. Michael (Mike) Woods of Missoula, Montana; and 3 nephews, Eric, Adam, and Brandon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to The Haven Animal Care Shelter.
