Becky Star Dunn

1952 - 2018

Lubbock- Becky Star Broaddus Dunn passed away into the arms of her Savior on July 23, 2018. She was born on December 31, 1952 in Littlefield, Texas. Becky was born to Kenneth and Wilma Broaddus and grew up in Littlefield, Texas. She married Ray Dunn, the love of her life, in 1971. They were blessed with 47 years of loving marriage and Becky is survived by a loving and devoted family.

Survivors include her daughter, Jenny Abney and her husband Koby, and son Joe Dunn and his wife Amanda. Her five grandchildren, Jackson Abney, Keegan Dunn, Carter Abney, Rebecca Abney and Kaleb Dunn, all of whom were a source of indescribable joy and pride in her life. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Ola Dunn, and family Wanda Miller, June and Ray Heim, Wayne and Linda Behrens and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by several cousins, and especially Joy Cobb, who she considered a sister. Becky worked with her husband and son at their family business, Guardian Security Solutions, where she was the Chief Financial Officer. She was an active member of Southcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her grandchildren in their many activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Wilma Broaddus.

The family will receive friends today, July 26, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A celebration of Becky's life will be held at Southcrest Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10 am.
