I have had the privelege of knowing you and Bobby for just a few years, but I have grown to love you guys! Bobby could always make me laugh, even when I was feeling a little bit grumpy. He was a good and decent man. And he was so proud of you Pat. He always bragged on what a wonderful athlete you were. What a huge loss for our neighborhood, and for the family. I will miss seeing him at the mailbox. Rest in peace Coach.

My deepest sympathy to the Carter family. I met Bobby through my Dad, George Carter. My Dad dearly loved this man and held him in high esteem. When my Dad reached a point in his life where his age kept him home, Bobby did not miss a week without 2 or 3 visits a week. My Dad so looked forward to those visits. My Father loved golf and Bobby would sit and listen to his golf stories day in and day out!!! Everyone should have a friend like Bobby Carter was to us. God's Grace fall full upon this family as they grief the loss of a husband, Dad, Grandfather, neighbor and friend in the strongest sense of the word.

We couldn't have had a nicer next door neighbor for the past 27 years than Bobby. He was always happy and willing to be a part of our homeowners association. Chuck and I will miss him. I will particularly miss our times of reminiscing about our mutual hometown of Abilene. May God comfort you, Pat, and Bobby's children and grandchildren. Kay

Ken and I will miss Bobbyso much we were sad when we moved our office and Bobby was no longer there for us to look forward to seeing him drive up and take a peak in the mailbox and see if there was any nd be whistling . He was always whistlng he was the happiest, funniest, nicestman we have ever known. No matter how dreary your day seemed to be he could haveyou laughing within 2 minutes after walking thru the door and he always always bragged on his wife of how she put up with him he would never know, and how busy they we're because his sweetheart was playing a tennis match in some town and brag about how good she was!! He told us many times how he had a daughter with the name Lackey and how amazing was that where we all officed together and he had a lackey in his family. Everyday he came in was the same question " What have you done with ole Lack? Where is he at the golf course leaving you here to do all the work? Probably best he would just be in the way! Thats why my wife sends me off to the office because that way she can get things done!! Our first conversation was about his mickey mantle photo i told him my son would be beside himself to have that photo because he is a diehard yankees fan and he told me some awesome stories of his friend mickey. Ken and I will miss him and we are keeping you all in our prayers.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. - Matthew 5:4

May God's love bring you peace and comfort through this very difficult time.

Patsy, You and 'Bobby Lee' have been friends of mine for many years - starting in 1945. He and I were team mates in Abilene High. And of course you and I have shared so many things in common - friends because of our common background - in college together - my sister Earlene being your dad's secretary for so many years, and yes, both of us having to put up with Tommy.
How sad that Bobby had such a tough but loosing battle these last few years. As you and so many of us know, he was a great guy and good friend. Marcia and I send our warmest condolences to you and to his family members who will miss him so much.
