After his retirement in 1992, he enjoyed long walks and being surrounded by his nieces and nephews and their families. He enjoyed listening to Chinese music and watching movies. He will be missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory will be his sister-in-law, Maria Quant of San Francisco, Calif.; brother, Victor Quant and his wife Nubia of Lubbock; sister, Rosa Kwan of Lubbock; sister, Miriam Cheung and her husband Albert Cheung of Hudson, Mass.; brother, Roberto Quant and his wife Lorena of Lubbock; brother, William Kwan and his wife Siu Fong Lai of Lubbock; 21 nephews and nieces; and 23 grandnephews and grandnieces. The Quant family wants to especially thank the staffs at Bender Terrace and Heather Ruhardon for being there for Carlos until the very end. Words cannot express our gratitude.
