Claudelle Kennedy Oren

1938 - 2020

Lubbock- Claudelle Kennedy Oren went to be in the arms of Jesus on December 6, 2020. Claudelle was born on December 11th, 1938 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Willard Jesse and Virginia Louise (McChesney) Lynn. Virginia married LeRoy Frances Kennedy in 1948. They moved from Denver to live in McCook, Nebraska in 1955 which Claudelle still called home to this day. Claudelle attended McCook High school and McCook Community College. She moved back to Colorado when she was 21 and went to work at the Martin Company where she met Tom King. They were married in 1961. They lived in Littleton, Colorado and had three children together.

Claudelle married Vernon Oren on February 13, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Denver until 2000 when they moved to Ransom Canyon, Texas. In 2010, they moved to Lubbock where they happily remained.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Georgie and Claud McChesney, her beloved Mother, Virginia Kennedy, her step-father, Leroy Kennedy, her father, Willard Lynn, her step-mother, Blanche Lynn, her brothers Jeff and Craig Lynn and her stepdaughter, Tutti (Teresa) Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Vernon Oren; her children and their spouses, Neal and Beth King, Darin and Brandi King, Dawn and John Moore, a daughter-in-law, Debbie Atkinson; 10 grandchildren, Connor King, Sarah Young, Hayden King, Rachel King, Courtney King, Kelsey King, Daisy Moore, Jessie Bledsoe, Cody Moore, & P. J. Moore; six great-grandchildren, Connor, Tristan, Ronan and Roslin Bledsoe, Mila and Maeve King; brother, Jack Lynn; her sisters, Sandy and Janie; her treasured friends, Marian, Lorraine, Jane, Gini, Donna, Janis and Novice; her special little dog, Beau.

Due to COVID-19, a service will be scheduled at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
