Jean Billings

1937 - 2018

Lubbock- Jean Billings passed away November 23, 2018. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 81 years at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Jean Billings was born on September 26, 1937 to the late Hershel and Eula (Morgan) Oden in O'Donnell, TX. As a teenager in 1952 she met the man that started her 61-year love story. Her boundless energy poured out in every part of her life as a wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. The care and compassion she gave was shared by all she knew or touched. To hear her pray and sing to her Jesus was the purest example of her simple beauty. She was indeed blessed! Survivors include her three children, Jamie (Susan) Billings of Humble, Kimberly (Kevin) Mankin, and Kyna (Chris) Fisher all of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Sean (Jillian) Fisher, Tanner (Lacy) Billings, Derek (Linda) Billings, Kelsey (Cameron) Merimon, Dakotah (Kaitlyn) Mankin, Dylan Billings, and Dalton Mankin, seven great grandchildren, Waylon Billings, Tuesday Billings, Bonnie Billings, Meredith Mankin, Kanon Merimon, Krew Merimon, and Wyatt Billings, and a brother, Don (Mary Jane) Oden. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Charles Billings, sister, Joy Hicks, and brother, Bobby Oden.
