John Bottoms Obituary

John N. Bottoms, Sr. LUBBOCK- John N. Bottoms, Sr., 70, was called home to be with our Lord on May 30, 2013 at 2:21 a.m. after an arduous battle with Pancreatic Cancer (Adenocarcinoma). He was born Aug. 28, 1942 to Franklin Paschal Bottoms and Josephine Theresa Bottoms in Amarillo, Texas. John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Ellen Bottoms; and four children, John Nathaniel Bottoms, Jr. with wife Alamar Delgado-Bottoms, Josephine Ruth McSpadden with husband Robert Coleman McSpadden, Archie Lester Bottoms with wife Sharon Hazel Bottoms, and Franklin David Bottoms with wife Delilah, all of Lubbock. He is also survived by three siblings, Paschal Bottoms of Amarillo, Marguerite Koenig of Arlington, Texas, and Laura Boyce of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. John was a devout follower of our Lord and Savior, devoted to family, and above all a lover of life. John made the ultimate act of selflessness by donating his remains in hopes of aiding in cancer research. Memorial services are to be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church, 302 40th St., Lubbock..
