John H. Prell

John H. Prell LUBBOCK-John H. Prell, 67, of Lubbock passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. John was born on May 18, 1946, in Mapleton, Iowa, and graduated from Maple Valley High School. He then entered the United States Air Force, where he served in Vietnam. After 20 years of service, he retired. In May 1979, he married Carla Fromm. At the time of his death, he owned and operated Prell's Small Engine Repair Service. John was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. He is survived by his children, Stacia (Willy) Sterling, and Bo (Whitney) Prell, both of Lubbock; ex-wife, Carla Prell of Smyer; and brothers, Larry and Gary Prell of Iowa. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Garry, Brailey, and Emma. No memorial services are scheduled at this time; however, interment will be in Center Cemetery in Castana, Iowa.
