What a devastating loss for friends and colleagues. Jon was an inspirational leader and the heart and soul of our Moundsville High school class of '68. His charismatic personality lifted everyone up around him. Whether it was in the classroom, on the football field, or at a social event, Jon always had your back and was there to support you. Deepest sympathy to his family. He meant so much to so many people. Rest in peace big guy.

The lights of Lubbock will be a great deal dimmer without the presence of Jon Furbee, a truly wonderful person to know and with whom to work.
His wit, charm, talents and kindness will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to all family and friends What an honor and pleasure it has been to work with and talk with Dr. Furbee on an everyday basis. Wether it was the surgery schedule or encouraging good job words or Why are we doing things this way the call or text always ended positive I will always remember him in my heart. We definitely lost a great doc. He was there at the drop of a hat when my daughter had both my grandkids not too mention my own surgery. U will forever remain in our hearts doc.
