Lois and Family, Thinking of you during this time. Just to say Breck's name brings a smile to my face. He was a classmate of mine, but most of all a true friend. He was always so full of life and adventure. His beautiful smile and kind spirit were a blessing to me. My heart is heavy with the sad news about Breck. He was my neighbor just below the ridge from my house (as was Kyle in the very same house before he passed) for years here at the lake and even though we did not see much of each other, we would always exchange a shout out, a wave, or an occational hug when we did. My thoughts and prayers are with Lois and the rest of his family.

The world lost a great guy! Breck was extremely kind to me during a critical time in my life. When I began 7th grade, my parents had just divorced and my mom had returned to work. I was an overweight, scared, and confused 7th-8th grader who was struggling. Breck reached out to me one day as I was walking to my mom's job from school. For weeks, he would "miraculously" appear each afternoon to give me a ride. Even when I warned him he migth be teased for giving me a ride, he said he didn't care. He continued to be a friend to me throughout school. As my daughter begins 7th grade this year, I couldn't help but think of Breck. In fact, I was telling my husband about his kindness and tried to Google him just a few months ago to see if I could find him to say thanks again. I was very sad when my mom called to tell me of his passing. I will never forget him.

To the Stapleton & Lyons Family, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Sandra and I have been out of town for almost a week and came home yesterday. I just found out earlier today and was shocked to hear the news of one of our classmates had passed away. Breck always had something funny to say and had a great attitude, he will be missed. Breck was a bright spot in our class of 1980. Though I hadn't seen him since our first class reunion, I never forgot his smile, his humor or his spirit.

Lois-You and your family will be in my prayers today. Breck was a Floydada classmate. He had an incredible smile and could always make you laugh no matter what sort of day you were having. I have thought of him often over the years. My thoughts are with you.
