Death is nothing at all. It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

Dear Friend. As your soul enjoys the sweet rest we remaining seek, and hope for, I carry you in my heart. I miss your presence, Larry; your laugh, wise words, passion and compassion. How could I possibly fail to remember one of my dearest friends. Your calls everyday while I endured cancer treatment; the candle you left burning for a year for healing; the jokes that never failed to bring a belly-laugh out of my struggling body; the debates, and conversations. From the depths of my heart, and soul, I love you, Larry, and I am privileged to call you an eternal friend.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Larry and I met at Thunderbird twenty-some years ago, and have been close friends ever since. Larry was a kind soul, with a huge heart. Always supportive. Always positive. Always there to encourage, listen, or make you laugh.
May you sleep in peace, my gentle friend, until we meet again. I will sorely miss you.

We will miss you on FB and I will miss you in our private discussions. You left us too soon. Please keep an eye on this election year...its been a doozy and don't want you to miss it. Don't stir up things too much up there! I promise I'll soon read the book I had just bought from you. Sorry you had to go. Hugs to your family. Say hi to our moms up there and keep em out of trouble.

You are free now. Free of the body that kept you from living the life you wanted. Your soul is beautiful, may it soar to Heaven and find a whole new freedom.
I shall miss you always. I will miss our friendship. Our endless gabbing online about the most personal of topics. And about art, literature, and politics.
Larry, you will always be special to me. I am grateful I got the chance to meet you. And know you. May God bless you and keep you.

My dear sweet friend. This world will not be the same without. You comforted me when I buried my husband, and strengthened me during cancer treatment. Thank you, Larry, for great conversations, lots of laughs, and 12 years of true friendship. I look forward to the day we meet again. Rest in peace, Larry.
