Leta Brewer Obituary

Lubbock- Leta Faye Duncan Setliff Brewer of Lubbock, formerly of Crowell, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born September 5, 1935 in Seymour to the late Guy and Essie Duncan. Faye graduated from Quanah High School in 1953 and went on to attend Abilene Christian College. She married Joe Ray Setliff on April 9, 1955 in Quanah. Faye was a woman of many trades. She was an EMT, drove school buses, and was a graphic artist for Crowell Cap Company and Action Printing. She loved all kinds of art, especially painting, sewing and music.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dennis Setliff and wife Celia of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joe Glenn Setliff and wife Molly of Lubbock, and Tina Setliff Ward of Andrews; daughter-in-law, LeAnn Setliff of Lubbock; ten grandchildren, Naomi Caron, Nathaniel Setliff, Ben Setliff, Amanda Adair, Adam Setliff, Jackson Setliff, Andrew Setliff, Emily Setliff, Jacob Ward, Joseph Ward; fourteen great grandchildren; and current husband, Gordon Brewer of Lubbock.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, Joe Ray Setliff in 1983; siblings, Rubye Cash, Robert Duncan, Joe Duncan; and son, Steven Setliff.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Crowell Cemetery in Crowell, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to LCU Music Department, 5601 19th Street Lubbock, Texas 79407.
