Lou Robinson Obituary

Lou Beth Robinson LUBBOCK-A celebration of life for Lou Beth Robinson, 95, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in the Auditorium of Broadway Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the care of Sanders Funeral Home. Mrs. Robinson passed away on July 20, 2015, at her home. Lou Beth was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Cherokee, Texas, to Arthur B. and Fannie Adella Taff. She moved to Lubbock in Sep. of 1928, from Levelland and was a graduate of Lubbock High School. She married Ralph Verner Robinson Nov. 7, 1937, in Mangum, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband; her sons, Arthur Pat and Ralph Michael Robinson, her daughter-in-law, Myrl Raines Robinson and son-in-law, David Standlee. At the age of nine, Lou Beth began attending Broadway Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting for LCU Associates, delivering Meals On Wheels, and volunteering for sixty-seven years in the Women's Building at the South Plains Fair. Loved ones include daughter, Nicky (Andy) Anderson; grandchildren, Polly (Todd) Lewis, Mika (Toby) Slough, Jarod (Becky) Standlee, Shelby Beth (Drew) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Bailey (Grant) Garner, Mackenzie (Steve) Rizotto, Ross (Michelle) Slough, Natalie Lewis, Caghan and Cade Standlee, Cole, Cash and Chaney Beth Anderson. Her Christian faith was demonstrated through her sweet disposition and service to others.

When I was a member at Broadway, Lou Beth was one of the ladies who welcomed me to the ladies class. She was always warm and kind, showing the love of the Lord. I will always remember that most.
