Lukács Racz Hasie

Lukács Lloyd Racz Hasie LUBBOCK-Lukács Racz Hasie departed this world on Sept. 22, 2014. Lukács was born June 19, 1999, in Lubbock, Texas, to Yvonne Racz Key and Coleman Montague Hasie. Lukács is survived by his mother, Yvonne Racz Key; and father, Coleman Hasie and stepfather Tim Key; his brother, Jetton; sister, Antonia; his stepbrother, Aydan Key; maternal grandparents, Enid and Gabor Racz; and paternal grandparents, Mary Ann and Monte Hasie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lukács had a razor-sharp wit and gentle nature, with a gift for learning. Lukács loved books and was a voracious reader. His charismatic and fun-loving nature was infectious to all who knew him. Lukács's acting talents allowed him to perform in Ballet Lubbock's production of The Nutcracker and Lubbock High School plays. This past summer he spent a week at a marine biology camp in Galveston, learning more about the science that he loved. He had planned to pursue a career in the marine sciences, hoping to save the ocean, and his life goal was to discover a new species. Lukács adored his younger sister, Antonia. He and his beloved brother Jet loved to spar daily with one another, both intellectually and physically. Blessed with 16 cousins, Lukács's favorite times were spent tubing on the finger lakes of Skaneateles, New York, and playing in the hills of Austin, Texas, with his family. The family will host a reception at Sanders' Funeral Home (1420 Main Street) Wednesday evening, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. A private burial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, at Resthaven Memorial Park at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service and celebration of Lukács's extraordinary life at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church (1411 Broadway). A reception for family and friends will follow in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the Lubbock High School Theater (LHS Booster) Department, Ballet Lubbock (The Gugi Award), or www.oceanfutures.org.
