Patsy Neitsch Obituary

lubbock- Patsy went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Lubbock. Services for Patsy Foreman Neitsch will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Idalou Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p. m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Idalou.

Patsy was born on August 6, 1935 to Ed Foreman and Mabel May Foreman in Idalou, TX. Patsy grew up on a farm near Idalou, TX where she attended school. Her love of sports grew as she played basketball and volleyball, and later as she watched her sons play sports. Patsy was one of the founding members that got the Little League Baseball Association started in Ralls, TX. She was an avid basketball fan her entire life. Another love was being involved with her family as they participated in livestock shows for many years. Patsy's true gift in life was service. She enjoyed family gatherings and we were all blessed with her love, wonderful food, and her recipes we will always treasure. Patsy loved to laugh and her laughter was contagious. The following is taken from a tribute from her grandson, Skylar Neitsch. "She not only served her Lord Jesus, she served everyone around her in the community of Idalou, Texas. For many years, the town knew her as Aunt Pat. She owned, ran, and operated the local favorite "The Snow Wizard". I've always said, "You're not from Idalou if you haven't had a snow cone from The Snow Wizard!" Her burgers were a favorite for miles around. She put love and labor into everything she did. Her love for her family was undeniable. She made sure all of us had enough. Even if we didn't need it. She was a proud woman. Always telling people she had the best looking 3 boys around and her 7 beautiful grandchildren. She was one of the most determined and stubborn women I've ever had the honor of knowing."

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melrose Neitsch, a sister Sandra Hearne, and a granddaughter, Janell Aboushadid.

She is survived by sons, Galen Neitsch and wife, Martha of Lubbock, TX, Roger Neitsch and wife, Cynthia of Seminole, TX, and Rex Neitsch and wife, Sherry of Levelland, TX; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Don Foreman and wife Jody of Idalou; and other family members.

The family thanks everyone for their love and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
