Anjelenah Cain Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 30, 2026.
Anjelenah Noel Cain, lovingly known as "Missy," passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 21.
Missy was born on October 25, 2004, to Amber Gutierrez. From her very first day, she was raised by her grandparents, David and Carrie
Cain, whose unwavering love and devotion guided her entire life. Missy spent her childhood in Arkport, New York, where she graduated
from Arkport Central School as part of the Class of 2024. Following graduation, Missy's village expanded when she, along with her grandparents, David and Carrie Cain, moved to Lubbock, Texas, where they continued to lovingly care for her, supported by family including her
Aunt Lisa and Victoria, who helped provide a full and joyful life around her.
Missy was a beautiful soul whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She had a way of brightening any room and any day, simply by being herself. To know Missy was to know pure, unconditional love. She taught those around her what truly matters-patience, kindness, and a deeper understanding of love without words.
She had a spirit that felt like a colorful butterfly-free, vibrant, and full of light. Missy loved music and found joy in dancing, especially when
Elvis was playing. In those moments, her happiness was undeniable and shared by everyone around her. She also loved her pups, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Missy had a village-family, friends, and caregivers-who loved her deeply. That village was stronger and better because of her. She touched more lives than most ever will, and her legacy is one of love,
connection, and light.
She is survived by her parents, David and Carrie Cain of Lubbock, Texas; her brothers, Jayden and Tristyn Cain, Dylin Weimer, Jahlani Gutierrez, and Damir Greene; her aunts and uncles, Jessica and Mike Leonard of Arkport, New York, Lisa and Victoria Moore of Lubbock, Texas, and David and Rebekka Cain of Germany; and many nieces,
cousins, and extended family members who will carry her memory forward.
Though her time here was far too short, Missy's life was full of love, And her spirit will continue to live on in all who knew her.
