I recently saw Tony at a Roosevelt High School reinion. I wasn't sure about his name but when he said, "I'm Tony Thomas." the memories of Friday night football games came back to me. His eyes and the grin on his face were the same now as then. As a cheerleader, he wanted me to throw him a small toy football and I wanted a hug in return. He was such a cutie and I looked forward to seeing him at the games, knowing I would get another sweet hug in exchange for a toy football. I wanted to ask if he remembered those sweet moments from 1967 & 1968 and I regretted not taking a minute to ask him if our memories matched. I pray that God will comfort his loved ones in his family and friends. No doubt he is in heaven. But he was gone way too soon. May he rest eternally in peace.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Thomas family. Tony was our farmer for many years and a dear friend with whom we enjoyed many long truck rides and deep conversations while going to and from hunting trips. He let us stay with him on our annual Christmas trips to Texas. We will miss his laugh and his kindness. God rest his soul.
