Adonis Oldenburg Obituary

Adonis "Don" Tremayne Oldenburg

Age 74 of Las Vegas, NV went to be with the Lord on Feb 12th, 2021. He was born on Dec 11th, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Ohio to Helmuth and Ruby Oldenburg.

He moved to Las Vegas in 1956 where he graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1963. He then served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnance Technician on the USS Kearsarge - CVS 33.

After the military he was on a Union Pacific train in North Platte, NE where he met the love of his life on March 28th 1969 and were married on July 2nd, 1969.

His career was varied working for Coca Cola and the Las Vegas Review Journal before joining the Clark County Building Department where he worked as a Building Inspector. He retired after 27 years in 2008.

He is a man that enjoyed working on cars, church and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia Oldenburg.

His children Adonis II (Staci), Tracy, Aaron (Amy) and numerous other

adopted children. His grandchildren Dustin, Alli, Adonis III, Kaylee, Connor, Courtney, Andrew, Ava and numerous other adopted grandchildren.

His great grandchildren - Maverick and Baby Boy due May 16th, 2021.

Brother - Lontayne of Yuma, Az.

He is preceded in death by his parents Helmuth and Ruby, his brothers Lowell, Randall, Lynwood.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 11:00am, at Church , 3400 West Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV, 89102,

Trish, I'm so sorry. I just found out today. I remember Don as a giving man. He was all ways there when you need help. You were both involved in Dutch Oven Cooking and shared that knowledge with the Cub Scouts that I was involved with. These are some sweet memories of Don and you that I will cherish for ever. I worked with Don up to 2008 when he retired. I remember a lot of Great things about Don and you in my life! May God Bless you and your family!
