ALEX SALAZAR Obituary

ALEX SALAZAR Alex Salazar, born Jan. 4, 1932, passed peacefully March 15, 2015, after a brief illness. Alex served as a medic in the U.S. Navy and graduated from Westminster College with a degree in engineering. A Las Vegas resident since 1970, Mr. Salazar held a responsible position and retired from the test site. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Pauline Salazar; and his youngest sister, Virginia Keith. Alex leaves behind two brothers, Ben Salazar and Paul Salazar; two sisters, Stella Rukavina and Lilly Bagnell; several nieces and nephews; and his niece, Cheryl Whitteron, of Park City, Utah, who was like a daughter to him. Alex will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. There will be a private family memorial to honor the life of Alex Salazar. Burial services are being handled by La Paloma Funeral Services, 5450 Stephanie St., Las Vegas.
