Bruce Koven Obituary

BRUCE KOVEN Bruce Koven, beloved father, partner and friend, passed away July 7, 2010, at the age of 62. A retired gaming supervisor, Bruce was known as a kind and loving man that always had a witty punch line or phrase to ensure you left his presence with a smile. As a well-respected man, Bruce was recognized for his love of animals, sports, particularly golf, and the stock market. Known to his children as "the smartest poor man in America," Bruce chose to live his last days watching the stock market, and researching the latest treatments for renal and cardiac disease, determined to live another day with his loving partner, of five years, Gina; and their two cats, Spot and Monty. Bruce leaves behind his three daughters, Dori, Michelle and Nanci. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.

Bruce was my room mate at Drake College. I was in my last year and Bruce was in his second year. Bruce was great we did much together besides attending class. We went to the track both dog and horse, out to dinner and many different bars. Our other room mate was John Mitchell and the three of us had a great time together at Drake, which became Fort Lauderdale University.
Just found this obituary, as I have always tried to find Bruce. it is with a very sad heart that I found Bruce. God bless to his family and children.
