Carol Edwards

1936 - 2021

We say goodbye to our beloved friend, sister, and mom, Carol Edwards, with a heavy heart. She passed on July 2, 2021, and is now in the loving embrace of her family, friends, beloved poodles, and heavenly father. Carol's faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and community brought her comfort and was a cherished part of her life.

On May 8, 1936, she was born to Owen Ted Farnsworth and Edythe Jacques Farnsworth in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a teenager, she performed in barrel racing at local rodeos, which sparked a life-long love of the rodeo. She loved watching the Rodeo Channel and could tell you everyone's name and ranking.

From a young age, she found a love of cooking. She especially loved to cook large feasts for family and could be called upon for any recipe. She read all of her cookbooks cover to cover. But mostly, Carol believed chocolate was a food group.

As an adult, Carol moved to Las Vegas and built a successful Farmers Insurance agency. She was proud of her success and ran her agency for many years. Generous with her time, she also taught new agents the business. Carol loved to see people suceed in whatever their passion was. She always felt that any job worth doing was worth doing well.

Carol is survived by her sons, Curtis Hodgson (Tina) and Marc Hodgson (Jeanine); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Daryl K Farnsworth; sister-in-law, Maryann Farnsworth; and adoptive-daughter and caregiver, Heidi Kroeger (Doug). A special thanks to the Pat Forbes family, the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Also, beloved friends Jan and Carlo Lennartz that were always there for her.

She was preceded in death by her son Will Hodgson and brother Robert Farnsworth.

For Carol, friends were family, and she surrounded herself with love and faith. She will be deeply missed by all that love her
