Chuck Adamson Obituary

CHUCK ADAMSON Charles J. Adamson, 71, passed peacefully Feb. 22, 2008, in Roseburg, Ore. He was born and raised in Chicago, where he served honorably as a sergeant detective on the Chicago Police Department for 16 years before moving to Las Vegas where he spent many years as an Allstate insurance agent. In later years he became a successful writer. His works included: the creation of the 80s television drama, "Crime Story" for which he won the "People's Choice Award." Chuck wrote many scripts for "Miami Vice" and served in an advisory position on the motion pictures, "Heat" and "Beverly Hills Cop." He is also author of the novel, "The Toughest Cop in America." After retiring to Roseburg, Chuck, an avid golfer, served on the board of directors of the Roseburg Country Club for seven years. The beloved son of the late Lloyd Adamson and Marion Adamson Henrich; fond brother of the late Gary F. Adamson, CFD; uncle of Steven and David J. Adamson. Chuck also leaves behind many friends in Las Vegas whose lives he deeply touched. He will be missed. Memorial services were held in Roseburg.
