Claudette Madison Obituary

CLAUDETTE MADISON Claudette L. (LaPlante) Madison, 70, a retired collection specialist, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 7, 2012. She was born Jan. 5, 1942, in Central Falls, R.I. She retired from Capital One Bank as a collection specialist. She was a member of the Las Vegas Breakfasters Lions Club and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ora (Poitier) LaPlante; and her brother, Robert LaPlante. She is survived by her husband, Roy A. Madison; a son, Robert Dompkowski, two grandchildren, Jake and Derek Dompkowski; two great-grandchildren, all of Camp Verde, Ariz.; and a sister, Jeannine Holland, of Las Vegas. Donations may be made to Lions Camp Dat-so-la-Lee, 501 Ayder Court, Reno, NV 89521 or the SightFirst Foundation of Southern NV, 7380 S. Eastern Ave., 123-226, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Texas Station Casino.

My life was richer for having know Claudette. I am grateful for the brief opportunity. She will be missed by her sister Red Hatters and friends.

Claudette was a dear dear friend who was like a sister to me and is one of the reasons I became a LION and will be missed, but I know she is with our LORD and will be totally without the pain she suffered
