always had a desire to meet that great and honest man.so sad never had a chance to meet him but today im making a promise to my self ,I will visit his grave, one day and pray.
may god give all the strength to his family and friends.amen

To Joel and Linda.....My deepest condolences on the loss of your brother Danny. He was another in the long line of Lakewood success stories like both of you. I have fond memories of time spent in your Autumn Rd. home and on the adjacent lot which we turned into our own Yankee Stadium.
Joel, I remember the time your dad took you and I took to the old Madison Square Garden to see my first NBA game when I was about 8 or 9. After the game, we met Knick Carl Braun in the parking lot. I was awed. As my father was unable to do such things because of his illness I truly appreciated the kindness of your late Dad and Mom.
Linda, you were the first "teenager" I ever knew. I remember as a little kid, you were boppin' to the sounds of Little Eva singing "The Locomotion".
And then there was Danny for whom I babysat. Full of energy. Full of life. But always a good kid. Warren Levine and I would compete to babysit for him. Hey, you had a pool table and the only color TV in the neighborhood!
I've been a lawyer in Lakewood for more than 30 years and if there is anything I can do to assist you in this difficult time it would be my pleasure. I remember the kindness bestowed upon me by your family during our time of need. You will honor me by allowing me to pay back.

Dan and Joel Towbin were Chevrolet dealers immediately adjacent to me in Trenton, NJ, before they moved to Las Vegas some 20 years ago. Dan and I remained friends and when I later became Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association in 2001, I asked him to serve on several committees that assisted his fellow automobile dealers. He was a very passionate and knowledgeable gentleman about our business. My condolences to the members of his family for the loss of their husband, their father and their brother.

Carolyn & Family,

I have spent 17 wonderful years with Dan and your family. Dan and Carolyn Towbin were my "On-Life" recepients that I prayed for, for years. I put your names in the wall of Central Christian Church, when they were building their new campus. These names were the names that deeply touched my heart that I wanted to be known by our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer was that one day, our Lord would fulfill your hearts. I believe that my prayer was answered. I have been truly blessed by the experiences that I have shared with Dan and Carolyn Towbin. I love you and I will miss you greatly as I have never stopped thinking about you ever since I have left. May God Bless you all.

Carolyn and Family,
I just mentioned Danny's name this week as a person to go to for a job. Her name is Barbara Belkoff, who also just lost her husband this week and lives in Las Vegas.I am from Lakewood and was so shocked to hear about Danny. I used to baby sit for Danny and his family. He was so georgous as a baby and I was always so proud to wheel him in his stroller at The Cabana Club where all families spent the summer. I also baby sat for the family in the evenings. His mother was absolutely beautiful, inside and out and was so nice to me. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Please extend my condolences to Joel and I will call Linda up here. Linda is married to a guy from my class from Lakewood High School. May the wonderful memories remain with you always.

There is no greater lose than the lose of a loved one, especially a great man such as Dan Towbin. Both Brad and I had the honor of not only being Towbin employees for many years but have had the pleasure of being apart of the Towbin Family. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to Carolynn, Chop, Jesika and my nephews for the this great lose in their lives. I will be thinking and praying for you all daily!

Barbara Belkoff

June 13, 2009

My condolences to the entire family. Ironically, my husband, Howard Belkoff was just buried in NJ last week and services were at his former chapel in Lakewood, NJ. Co-incidentally, one of our mutual friends, Judy Singer of Lakewood upon learning that I was currently unemployed offered to get in touch with Dan to see if there was anything he could to to assist me. She went on to say how nice he was and made me feel he was someone I would be comfortable speaking with. I know my husband had dealings with Towbin in Lakewood and of course, who doesn't know of Chop here in Las Vegas. Small world. All I can say is that going quickly is great for the deceased but not for the family left behind. May your memories make everything easier.
