DARLENE VIGIL Darlene R. Vigil, 69, of Las Vegas, passed away June 19, 2017. Darlene was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Las Vegas. She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1966. Darlene worked alongside her parents for over 30 years at their restaurant, Poppa Gars. Whether it was waiting on tables or working on the books in the back, she was always there to help. She later worked for Citi Bank in data processing. Darlene loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Curt; parents, Garland, "Poppa Gar", and Alma Miner; brother and sister-in-law, John and Jolene Miner; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Herb Rupprecht; aunt and uncle, Marjorie and Bob Miller; and cousin, Ricky Miller. Darlene is survived by her husband, Fred; son, Freddy; daughter, Lisa (Rich) Burton; her grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and numerous cousins. "Mom", we love you and are going to miss you so much. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at Palm Northwest Mortuary and Memorial Park, 6701 N Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131.
