David Stolz Obituary

DAVID STOLZ David R. Stolz, of Henderson, formerly of New Providence, N.J., passed away Oct. 17, 2014, in Henderson, after a brief illness. Born to the late Robert and Helen (nee Secord) Stolz, Dave grew up in Villa Park, Ill., graduating from York High School in 1953. He served honorably in the 107th Ordnance Battalion, stationed in White Sands, NM. Dave then went on to a long and distinguished 30-year career as a district marketing manager in the Long Lines division of AT&T in Manhattan, N.Y. before retiring to Henderson in 1989. Dave was an avid reader and well-versed in all aspects of current affairs, politics and history, and was always ready to offer his educated opinion on a wide range of subjects. Dave was outstanding with numbers and math and was readily available to help out friends and family in this area. Dave is survived by two beloved sons and daughters in law, Michael Stolz and his wife, Mary of Henderson, and Mark Stolz and his wife, Rosalie of Stewartsville, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth and Sara. Dave is also survived by three sisters, Ann Hefner of Kansas City, Mo., Rita Kimble of Long Beach, Calif., and Ruth Martineau and her husband, Paul of Bellflower, Calif.; and four nieces, Ruthann Kimble of Portland, Ore., Sheryl Ross of Maryville, Ill., Helene Chapman of Godfrey, Ill. and Karen Hefner Atteberry of Raymore, Mo. Dave was a beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend . He will be forever missed and never forgotten. Cremation services were held privately as per Dave's request.

Dad, I would be remiss if I neglected to mention your Ex-wife Sally and her 3 great children,Judy,Tom and Diana and how much they will miss you also. I'm sure Judy will miss her weekly NASCAR updates. They cared for you deeply and will remember you always with fondness.
