Dennis was a good friend while we attended USU in Logan, Utah. I remember being touched by his Sunday School lessons in the student branch there when he served as a teacher. He kept me sane during an especially intense quarter by being my raquetball partner every single Friday evening. He and his roommate were adventurous friends. While I was hunting with Dennis, a black bear ran between us real fast downslope. Dennis was a jolly, dependable friend during those years. I feel honored to have known him.

Linda,
I was shocked and saddened when I just learned of Dennis' passing today. I had no idea. Dennis and I were roommates at Utah State and shared the love of the outdoors. The only ticket I ever got in my whole life was when I was with Dennis and we got a shooting ducks after hours ticket in Logan! He was truly a good friend and I will miss him dearly. It was very unfortunate that I could never get Dennis excited about keeping connected by way of the Internet so an all to infrequent phone call or hand written letter had to suffice. I will be ever grateful for the time we spent together.

Dear Linda, I was thinking of you today and decided to search the internet. What a shock to learn of Dennis' passing one year ago today. I have no way to find you now. My sincerest sympathies go out to you. You are a strong woman and I know you will find peace and a new life with your many talents. I have found memories of our years together as friends and roommates. Feel a big hug and love from me today.

Elder Whiting and I were companions in Honduras during our mission. He was a wonderul guy with a keen sense of humor. We had such good times, working hard, riding bikes in tropical el Progreso, Yoro in Honduras. I remember when he would come alive and excited to the tune of "The lion sleeps tonight". Those were the good old days...! He was a wonderful friend...!

Heaven is a happier place now that Dennis is there. May his family find peace in knowing he is hunting and fishing every day while he is looking down on them and watching over them.

Dennis was one in a million. He was such a caring man and took care of not only his family but all the neighborhood cats. The cats would hear him turn down the street with his diesel truck and come running from all over to greet him. He will definately be missed by many. He met the defination of a true gentle man. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
