Don Gale

DON GALE Don L. Gale died June 21, 2011, in Las Vegas, after serious illness. He was born April 4, 1942, in Payson, Utah, was active in the LDS church and Boy Scouts; and loved fishing the lakes and streams of Payson Canyon. An accomplished musician, he played accordion at many special events, won top honors in Ted Mack's State Talent Show. He attended college then moved to Las Vegas. He worked with Jim Henson's puppet crew before the 'Muppet' era. He met and married love of his life, Jeanette 'Nicki" Fox in 1968. He worked for Sahara Hotel 44 years, retired and spent summers with Nicki at their Minnesota home. He loved astronomy, hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and loved by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Edna Gale; and brother, Merrill Byron. He leaves behind beloved wife and best friend, Nicki; sons, Justin and John; grandson, Christopher; sisters, Lorraine Underwood (Don) deceased, Salem, Utah, Deanna Wilson (Jim) Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Ruth McPherson (Darrel), Las Vegas; many friends; and Nicki's family who claim him as their own. Memorial services at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5800 Carl St., Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers please donate to Cancer Society.
