Duane Savall Obituary
DUANE SAVALL Duane "Hoss" Savall, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away March 31, 2011, at Mountain View Hospital. He was born May 2, 1932, in Missoula, Mont., to Urban and Mildred Savall. He grew up in Proctor, Mont., and was a 54-year resident of Nevada. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as a submarine sailor during the Korean War. Hoss married Joyce Boehm in Las Vegas in 1959. Hoss was a ham radio operator, member of the Blue Grass Society and he was a founding member of Las Vegas Valley Model A Club. Hoss was a teacher in Nevada for 30 years. Hoss is survived by his loving wife, of over 51 years, Joyce; nephew, Steven (Deb) Greenwood; and nieces, Laurel (Steve Boone), Robin (Ron) Hart, Terri (Rick) Gersbach and Jodi (Ron) Deardorff. No services are scheduled. Donations can be made to any Animal Rescue Group of your choice in Hoss' name.
